The KT3 series condensate pumps are the industry's quality leader, with the only three-year warranty available! Our cam-activated switch/float design empties twice the amount of water per cycle than other pumps on the market. The KT3 cycles less, equating to longer pump life! Our high torque motor breaks free any algae or scale that may develop in the pump during the off-season, assuring start-up at the beginning of the season! This model includes and Hartell strongly recommends that all installations include a properly wired auxiliary safety switch. The auxiliary safety switch will shut down the appliance in the event of a pump overflow condition that could lead to property damage. Pump overflow can be caused by a blocked discharge line, power loss to the pump, or pump malfunction. The switch can be wired in-line with the thermostat to shut down the appliance; or wired directly to an alarm. 3 YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

The pump worked well for the first week, but then started shutting off. The pump has an overflow switch that turns the A/C off if the pump basin becomes full. On my pump the float that trips the micro switch that controlled the turning on and off of the pump motor was set to close to the float setting for the micro switch that turns of the A/C so on occasion the switch to turn of the A/C would trip before the switch that turned on the pump. I had to open the pump up and bend that micro switch tab to adjust the tripping of the pump. All seems to work now, but the pump should be engineered with a bit more tolerance in the settings.

the frist one started smokeing the frist day...sent me a new one a month gose by workin fine we hear a nosie by the air handler then see flames the pump had flames comeing out of it i e mailed them about it and still havent heard back
