1.0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE!, June 18, 2012
This review is from: 1.5 Ton 13 Seer Goodman Air Conditioner R-22 - GSC130181
This is likely the most terrible condenser unit you will ever come across, "supported" by an even worse company. The unit sprang a leak twice. Each time, I was given the run-around by customer service: wrong numbers for people to call; stiff shoulder, rudeness. And each time the company wiggled its way out of the warranty. Here is a company with no compunction about selling terrible product and dumping its customers. BEWARE.

This review is from: Little Giant VCMA-15ULS 554405 VCMA Series Automatic Condensate Removal Pump (115 volts), 1/50 horsepower (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've been staying with some folks for a while and noticed that they manually emptied their dehumidfier daily. They've been doing it for 8 years!

I installed this pump in no time and they'll never have to empty it again!

This pump works great. Very basic, but it does the job nicely. It makes very little noise. Turns on / off smoothly and quietly. Pumps for a few seconds to clear out the basin and then goes back to rest until it fills again.

The pump does not come with either inbound or outbound tubing / hose, so you will need to buy them separately.

Also, I found the instructions a bit skimpy and less clear than they could have been. You just need to read it closely and do a bit of fiddling to get it to work properly.

As elsewhere mentioned in these reviews, a key thing is to ensure that the water / condensate source (i.e., the dehumidifier or AC unit) is higher than the Little Giant pump. This allows the water to flow easily... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeds Specs, June 8, 2008

This review is from: Little Giant VCMA-15ULS 554405 VCMA Series Automatic Condensate Removal Pump (115 volts), 1/50 horsepower (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have this pump handling my furnace and AC condensation. It's pumping straight up 6 1/2 feet and then propelling the water another 15 feet through flexible tubing in the ceiling before it begins a downward descent through pvc pipe. No problems. It comes on almost every five minutes when the AC is on. So far this pump has been perfectly reliable.

Excellent condensate removal pump for high-efficiency furnaces and other applications requiring constant water removal. This was bought as a replacement and performs better than the last pump. The company packaged this product with care and speed, and this arrived a day and a half after being ordered on Amazon with regular shipping. Brilliant all around!

The 2011-2016 Outlook for Year-Round Unitary Single Package and Remote-Condenser Air Conditioners with 185,000 to 249,999 BTU Per Hour Excluding Heat Pumps in India

Product Description

This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for year-round unitary single package and remote-condenser air conditioners with 185,000 to 249,999 BTU per hour excluding heat pumps across the states, union territories and cities of India. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across over 4,900 cities in India. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each state or union territory and city, latent demand estimates are created for year-round unitary single package and remote-condenser air conditioners with 185,000 to 249,999 BTU per hour excluding heat pumps. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the cities in India). This study gives, however, my estimates for the latent demand, or the P.I.E., for year-round unitary single package and remote-condenser air conditioners with 185,000 to 249,999 BTU per hour excluding heat pumps in India. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided and concentrated across the cities and regional markets of India.

works well. replaced original exact same model which was there for 8+ years
the only thing went bad with original one is a small switch inside. should have ben a $2 item if I can find the exact same type but manufacturer don't encourage repairs!
and it seems a valid argument too as most homeowners will be so handy to open this pump and locate the bad switch and replace it. and any HVAC tech or handyman will charge more labour than the cost of the pump!!

overall works well and I will recommend the product with the catch that I have no experience with any other such product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Plumbing Planet got it right, April 23, 2011
    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: KT-15-1UL Hartell Condensate Pump for air conditioners or gas furnaces 15' lift (Misc.)
I also purchased this item as a replacement for one that is 10 years old.
When I received the product it came quickly but when I open the box I noticed a return defective sheet inside. OMG- Plumbing Planet sent me a defective pump. I sent a email through Amazon and Plumbing Planet replied that they would ship me another pump out ASAP and I could keep the defective one for parts.

I would purchase from plumbing planet again! Good Job!
